From The End of Death

Beware of your presumptions about aging because they will manifest unless they are revised and re-purposed with Spirit. We share 100% power with God to manifest our experience here in the dream. But while we allow our unconscious and unhealed fear to rule our beliefs we will inadvertently attract exactly what we don’t want.

The body, until it is consciously and divinely re-purposed with Spirit, will be governed by guilt and fear which are the single cause of all aging, illness and pain. And most of this lay buried in the unconscious prior to our commitment to release them.

The body is an idea in the mind (not brain) and is governed exclusively by what we believe. Our beliefs both good and bad, represent exactly what we believe we deserve. For instance if I believe I can be victimized by the body (mine or another’s) then I will unknowingly expect it to betray me. Recall that whatever I anticipate I invite into my experience. And whatever I defend myself from I unwittingly attract.

This is why quantum forgiveness is so crucial to healing the underlying cause of our attraction to suffering which is our guilt and fear that spawned the separation.

We are asked to review all our beliefs and values.

Jesus speaks below about the body. My comments in red and ( ):

“Yet is the [body] prisoner, and not the mind. The body thinks no thoughts. It has no power to learn, to pardon, nor enslave. It gives no orders that the mind need serve, nor sets conditions that it must obey. (The body is completely neutral. Everything it does, it does by order of the mind – ego or Holy Self). It holds in prison but the willing mind that would abide in it. It sickens at the bidding of the mind that would become its prisoner. And it grows old and dies, because that mind is sick within itself. (Aging, sickness, pain and death are self-inflicted, a choice we make from the ego mind). Learning is all that causes change. And so the body, where no learning can occur, could never change unless the mind preferred the body change in its appearances (fear commands the body to age or sicken), to suit the purpose given by the mind (sin, suffering and false innocence). For mind can learn, and there is all change made.”

“The mind that thinks it is a sin has but one purpose; that the body be the source of sin, to keep it in the prison house it chose and guards and holds itself at bay, a sleeping prisoner to the snarling dogs of hate and evil, sickness and attack; of pain and age, of grief and suffering (death being the ultimate goal of the ego). Here are the thoughts of sacrifice preserved, for here guilt rules, and orders that the world be like itself; a place where nothing can find mercy, nor survive the ravages of fear except in murder and in death. For here are you made sin, and sin cannot abide the joyous and the free, for they are enemies which sin must kill. In death is sin preserved, and those who think that they are sin must die for what they think they are.” (If you knew without a doubt of your incorruptible INNOCENCE, your body could not age, sicken or die. It would simply be ‘laid aside’ in joy and in perfect health when you decide with Spirit that you are ready to move onward.)

“Let us be glad that you will see what you believe, and that it has been given you to change what you believe. The body will but follow. (Healing in Spirit is CONSISTENT! Only your own inconsistent faith and trust could possibly cause seeming inconsistency in healing.) It can never lead you where you would not be. It does not guard your sleep, nor interfere with your awakening. Release your body from imprisonment, and you will see no one as prisoner to what you have escaped. You will not want to hold in guilt your chosen enemies, nor keep in chains, to the illusion of a changing love, the ones you think are friends.”

“The innocent release in gratitude for their release. And what they see upholds their freedom from imprisonment and death. Open your mind to change, and there will be no ancient penalty exacted from your brother or yourself. For God has said there [is] no sacrifice that can be asked; there [is] no sacrifice that can be made.” (No pain, no suffering, aging or death required!) – A Course in Miracles, T-31.III.4,5,6,7:1-4

An Exercise – What do you believe about Aging?

Let’s look at some common and un-investigated beliefs about aging. These beliefs as innocuous as they seem constitute a largely unrecognized and therefore, un-relinquished denial of the Will of God as Love without opposite.

1) What are the “negative” beliefs you have about aging?

  • Do you believe that aging, pain, immobility and disability, are natural, inevitable and legitimate parts of life?
  • What does aging look like to you? Be specific.
  • What have you witnessed in the past, in your body or in the bodies of others, or perhaps in the media?
  • Concerning the aging of the body what are you fearful of?
  • What are you doing now (or plan to do) at the form level, to forestall the aging process? In other words, how are you defending yourself from aging?

2) What are the “positive” beliefs you have about aging? What are the benefits of aging? The more detail the more can be healed:

For instance, retirement, growing old with a partner, earning respect for being a senior, released from pressure to look good any longer, etc.

Both the negative and positive beliefs you hold about aging serve the same purpose; to give the illusory body authority over your mind that “made” it. Your mind projects the image of the body and tells it exactly what to do (health and sickness, aging and death).

All forms of attack including aging, pain, sickness and death serve one purpose and that is to make the body real; to make it appear to be more powerful than God’s Love which is Who we are. While we believe the body is “who” we are we will make it the “god” we worship.

“Pain is a sign illusions reign in place of truth. It demonstrates God is denied, confused with fear, perceived as mad, and seen as traitor to Himself. If God is real, there is no pain. If pain is real, there is no God. For vengeance is not part of love. And fear, denying love and using pain to prove that God is dead, has shown that death is victor over life.” W-190.3:1-6

Do not trust what the body’s senses report as they are sent by fear to transmit physical evidence in an attempt to prove that the separation is real (aging or sickness, etc.).

If the body cannot change in appearance, if it cannot age, deteriorate, feel pain, sicken or die without your consent, then what is really happening? And what do you desire?

As you review your old beliefs about aging perhaps you can see that they are not in alignment with the magnitude and power of your Holy Self as God’s Will.

“What you behold as sickness and as pain, as weakness and as suffering and loss, is but temptation to perceive yourself defenseless and in hell. Yield not to this, and you will see all pain, in every form, wherever it occurs, but disappear as mists before the sun. A miracle has come to heal God’s Son, and close the door upon his dreams of weakness, opening the way to his salvation and release.” T-31.VIII.6:2-4

“Do not forget today that there can be no form of suffering that fails to hide an unforgiving thought. Nor can there be a form of pain forgiveness cannot heal.” W-198.9:5-6

Forgiveness is the key to release the body from suffering. And this must include forgiveness of everyone and everything that we have misperceived as having victimized us. The past, others, our self, the body, the world and God are all to be recognized as innocent.

If you are ready you can take all these unforgiving thoughts along with your beliefs about the body and aging through the forgiveness/Atonement process here: https://nouksanchez.com/nouks-blog/the-seven-essential-principles-in-quantum-forgiveness/

As we release these mistaken beliefs we come to realize that the body really is neutral. It has absolutely no mind of its own. And in its neutrality it is free now to serve the Will of God as a beautiful instrument of peace.
